#BETAS2015 will be here before we know it! Mark your calendar: APRIL 23, 2015 Our theme this year: NextGen. It describes the phase that infoTech is currently in and moving towards our Next Generation! This is going to be an event that you will NOT want to miss. Here are some of the reasons why: 1. Technology Showcase - 4pm to 7pm The infoTech Technology Showcase is a tradeshow style event that features WNY's top leading companies that work with technology. This is a great place to network and mingle. Last year we had over 300 people attend! This portion of the event is FREE to the public and features an open bar and appetizers. Register to attend! User Group Lightening Round Session - 5:00pm to 6:15pm This User Group Lightning Round brings together some of the most popular groups in WNY that each have 5 minutes to expand your mind. The quick format ensures that you never get bored and gives you the maximum amount of exposure to each one of these unique, amazing communities. There will be beer available! This event is also FREE to attend but requires registration to the Technology Showcase. 3. Panel Discussion: "WNY's IT Talent Marketplace" - 5:00pm to 6:00pm This "All Women" Panel discussion will focus on WNY's IT Talent Marketplace and what you need to do to succeed. Why are so many people getting IT degrees and leaving the area and why are there so many open positions in WNY and employers/recruiters are so challenged to fill them? This event should be attended by all IT/CS/CIS/MIS educators and students as well as anyone looking for a technology job! If you are interested in attending this FREE panelist discussion, please register for the #BETAS2015 Technology Showcase & Events 4. CIO Round Table - 5:30 pm to 7:00pm This portion of the event is labeled CONFIDENTIAL. We have invited CIO's in WNY to join this portion of the event to gather and discuss a topic of interest. Awards Dinner - 7:30pm to 8:30pm If you were at least year's BETAS, we are going to have the same great comedian host, Greg Bauch. He is going to bring life to the BETAS while we talk about NextGen and award "WNY's Best of the Best in IT." A delicious dinner will be served. Purchase your Awards Dinner tickets and tables! PLUS If you attend the Award Dinner, you are invited to stick around for the AFTER PARTY! The #BETAS2015 After Party will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 and will include an open bar! This is a great time to recap from the awards show and mingle with some top notch IT professionals in WNY.
