Thu, Aug 2nd, 9:00am - Thu, Aug 2nd, 4:00pm

presented by Jim Gerland.  Register at https://wnylrc.org/workshops/338

This session will be an introduction to database concepts using MySQL. Students will learn how to take data from an HTML form and use the SQL (Structured Query Language) statements in their PHP code to insert and retrieve database information and display that data on a web page.

Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript is recommended.

We do have limited number of laptops for use, but you may want to bring your own. You must install the necessary software before attending this class. It will take about 30-45 minutes to do so. Here are Jim's instructions for installation: http://jimgerland.com/phpguide/ch02.php?ver=ub
