Operations Software Support Analyst


This position is responsible for offering strategic, operational and business support for Campus Living core operational IT services, including support of our housing management system, institutional data provisioning, report writing and management of our time and attendance system. These business systems are directly responsible for generating Campus Living's annual $66 million revenue. This role is equal parts information technology and business analyst. The successful candidate must be a proactive, dynamic, self-motivated individual who is open to being more than just an IT-support resource. Candidates should have a proven track record of workflow redesign and IT-enabled process improvement. This position is highly collaborative and will have to form strong relationships with internal Campus Living stakeholders and campus partners that both provide and consume business system data. This position will help Campus Living to maximize the value of our business software acquisitions by crafting and steering software configurations that are integrated and in tune with business needs. As service owner it will be expected that close relationships with software vendors are maintained. Changes, improvements and upgrades to software packages must be clearly communicated to business partners. This position is responsible for managing any and all enhancements to systems either directly by performing upgrades or managing supporting IT resources. This position is responsible for providing individual and group training and support documentation on a continuing basis. Data provisioning, interface and report writing are required skills with database management systems such as MSSQL and Oracle. Report writing and data provisioning will take on many forms including MS Access, MSSQL views/triggers, Microsoft VB scripting and built-in software reporting.https://www.ubjobs.buffalo.edu/applicants/jsp/shared/position/JobDetails_css.jsp?postingId=218360
