2016 Student Sandbox is now accepting applications

You may remember last year’s program which included eight teams of student entrepreneurs who have gone on to launch products, make money, and advance in programs like Bright Buffalo Niagara, 43North, and Rise of the Rest.

Selected teams will earn stipends as they work full time on their ventures this summer.  They’ll work from dig, participate in the UB CEL program, defend their progress in weekly board meetings, meet with our VC in residence, and get introduced to countless stakeholders and service providers.  They’ll work hard as they take full advantage of this opportunity of a life time.

Student Sandbox is looking for:

  •          TEAMS of entrepreneurs that are committed to each other and their ventures.  We will not be accepting individuals who have not yet formed a team.
  •          Teams must be led by a current student  or someone who is no more than two years removed from graduation (undergrad/grad both encouraged).
  •          Applications are open to students from all schools.  Locals at out of state schools who plan to be home for the summer are welcome!
  •          Applications will be evaluated based on overall commercial potential, quality and cohesiveness of the team, and progress to date.

First application deadline is March 1.  Please help spread the word!
