Hello to all our friends of InfoTech WNY!
I want to say thank you to IBM for putting on their IBM AI/Machine Learning Seminar in February and special thanks to Board Members and Co-Chairs of our Education Committee: Michael Grimaldi, BCBS WNY and Sam Marrazzo, BNMC, for putting on another fine educational event! I also had the pleasure of presenting a $500 check to Journey's End Refugee Services along with Nicholas Corcoran, Rich Products, who picked this charity to benefit from our Winter Bash!!
Now what is coming up? Three Big Events and we want you to be a part of them all!
First, we have another educational seminar coming up on Wednesday, March 27. The session is about Augmented Reality and the Coming 5G World. This seminar presented by Twisted Rope will provide some details on the 5G networks being rolled out, and how AR tech can be used for advertising, marketing and audience engagement! Seating is limited and we are almost full so sign up today for this FREE seminar.
And we have our Annual 2019 BETAS (Buffalo's Emerging Technology Awards & Showcase) coming up on Thursday, May 2nd at RiverWorks. Our Nominations are open until Monday March 18th, and for so many years that I have been involved I ask you to take time this weekend and nominate a deserving company or individual that deserves recognition: https://www.infotechwny.com/betas-award-categories-nominations
Also don't forget to sign up for a vendor table, seats for dinner and to be there for the Showcase and Robot Wars! If you want to know what happens at the Robot Wars, check out this video I did last year - https://youtu.be/L5nWalOfcx4
I want to take a moment to thank our InfoTech Board of Directors who have been working very hard to make our community better and who have been putting in countless hours to make these events happen. A special thank you to John Indelicato, the Chairman of our Premier Speaker event and Peter Ronca from DataSure24 and Nicholas Corcoran who are our Co-Chairs of the BETAS!
So...I promised you when I started as ITWNY Chair in June 2018 that I was going to bring you top notch educational events, world class speakers and keeping our BETAS rolling, I did! What did you expect! Now you have three chances to catch up with me, and I hope to see you at one or all of these upcoming events!!
