BUFFALO MANUFACTURING WORKS FIRST 3D PRINT COMPETITION!

Buffalo Manufacturing Works is proud to announce it will be hosting the first WNY 3D print competition this Spring.

Please join us for a family-friendly event at our facility located at 847 Main St, Buffalo NY 14203 on Saturday May 14th.

We will have 2 different competitions that day. Students can compete in a volcano competition from 10am-12pm, where they will design and print a funnel to see who can create the biggest volcano eruption. The second competition, a wind turbine event, will run from 12pm-2pm, where students will be able to print out wind turbines to see who can design the one that produces the most power. Everything that the students need will be provided for them the day of the competition, there is no work to be done before hand. They just need to come ready to have fun and win prizes! We will also have local industry members in attendance for the students and family members to meet and interact with. They can learn all about WNY manufacturing, the jobs that exists locally and the different career pathway. Food and drinks will also be provided!

This competition is open to both high school and middle school students, and thanks to generous prize sponsors, prizes for the day will range from Gift Cards to Apple TVs to Apple Watches! Students are able to register as individuals or in teams. If they would like to register a team please contact Susan M. Witt for instructions. REGISTRATION IS LIMITED, so if your students are interested please make sure that they register early. Please contact Susan M. Witt at switt@ewi.org or at 716.710.5538 If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to seeing you and your students in May!
