This session will be an introduction to the PHP language including programming concepts. Students will learn about variables, arrays, functions, conditional statements, and looping structures. PHP can be embedded in an HTML file to provide interactivity with a back-end server for database and file access.
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript is recommended.
We do have limited number of laptops for use, but you may want to bring your own. You must install the necessary software before attending this class. It will take about 30-45 minutes to do so. Here are instructions for installation: http://jimgerland.com/phpguide/ch02.php?ver=ub
